Singer/songwriter and former Cobra Starship keytarist Elisa Jordana grew up as Elisa Schwartz in Old Bridge, NJ, listening to New Kids on the Block, Whitney Houston, but it was Debbie Gibson who inspired her to write her own songs. She wrote her first song at age seven; by the time she was in her teens, she was writing songs for her high school's musicals. Schwartz moved to New York City at 17 and continued to write and play around the city, working with Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit group. When she saw Cobra Starship leader Gabriel Saporta at a club, she told him she should be a part of his band, and so Schwartz became the group's keytar player. She left Cobra Starship in 2007 and focused on her solo career, adopting the persona of glamorous pop star Elisa Jordana.

Fight from Above consists of Miner (vocals, guitar), Zack (lead guitar), Krook (bass) and Dave (drums). The band was formed organically, from four friends who were already spending most days together anyway and discovered a shared love for music. Initially, Miner, Zack and Dave were playing as a three piece, but they eventually asked Krook (who was at every show anyway) to learn to play bass and join the band. Improbably, Krook purchased an instrument he had never played and within a few months Fight From Above was born.

Fight From Above are currently busy playing shows in support of L.A. Kids and writing new material for their next record. Their music has been featured on L.A's KROQ 106.7 and STAR 98.7, as well as MTV's "Real World" and "The Hills". read more

"hey guys, wanted to give you all an end of year update. being that Glassjaw is back in action and touring extensively throughout 2010, Manny and Durijah are leaving Saves The Day so they can be available to rock with the jaw. Saves is moving forward as always, getting two new band members ready to tour this January with New Found Glory. Spencer Peterson will be joining on drums and Rodrigo Palma will be slappin' da bass. we are so stoked to have Spencer and Rodrigo on board, you guys will love them. Rodrigo has been playing bass in bands with Arun since they were both 16, and he's already part of the Saves The Day family, so we're keeping it real. Spencer has been busy out there in the world of rock, manning the drums for Hidden In Plain View and Charlotte Sometimes as well as filling in for other acts when needed. both dudes are talented and down to Earth. all this being said, unfortunately we have not had the opportunity to record Daybreak with the new personnel, however we do have studio time booked at the end of the NFG tour. obviously, the album will be released in the new year. i'm sure you all can understand the difficulty transitioning through lineup changes, and i assure you this change is for the best. we have more motivation and drive to rock now than ever before and i feel lucky to have Arun, Rodrigo, and Spencer to come along lifting the veil of illusion so we can all feel the One and Only Truth... Westboro Baptist Church is planning on protesting outside of All Time Low's show in Philadelphia on December 6th. The reasoning behind their protest is below:

"All Time Low MEETS All Time Perverts! 7th & Willow "All Time Low frontman suffers concussion" so says the bloggers and Alternative Press reporter. You may be wondering what in the world WBC cares about these losers - so let me break it down for you. How do you know how far gone a society is? You look at their social icons. When you look at these gender-confused, haphazard freakazoids then you can plainly see that america is DOOMED, for real! This is the final generation, and a little concussion is the least of their worries. Here is what they have to look forward to when this once great nation finally falls - for her fall is already started. She is such a big, fat, disgusting, stupid whore that it is going to take a while to fall (brings to mind the comedy routine that Eddie Murphy does about his drunken cow of an aunt who falls down the stairs at each of their summer bar-b-ques as he was growing up). Gerhardt “Jerry” Fuchs, a drummer for indie-rock bands like !!!, the Juan MacLean and most recently Maserati, died early Sunday morning, November 8th, after falling down an elevator shaft. Fuchs was 34. LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, who once worked with Fuchs, told the New York Times Fuchs was “one of the only people we all knew who was literally great at what he did.”

According to reports, Fuchs and a friend were attending a benefit at a Williamsburg, Brooklyn warehouse when the freight elevator they were in got stuck between floors. While Fuchs’ friend made the four-foot jump out of the elevator, Fuchs’ jacket reportedly got snagged, pulling him backwards and through the crevice. Friends recovered Fuchs at the bottom of the shaft, but he was unable to speak. He later passed away at Belleville Hospital.

“Jerry was one of my best and most loyal friends. He was hands-down the best drummer I have ever played with or seen for that matter,” Juan MacLean wrote on his official website. “He was utterly sincere and fiercely loyal.”

Fuchs recently served as drummer for the Toronto band MSTRKRFT’s performance on The Late Show with David Letterman. Watch the performance below:

"We have come to an extremely difficult decision. It has come time for us to move on from Copeland and follow other paths in our lives. We are absolutely grateful to have been able to make music for as long as we have. In the last 9 years we've been able to see parts of the world that we never dreamt we would see. We have shared the stage and built friendships with immensely talented artists. We've been afforded the opportunity to make 4 records that we're extremely proud of. Most of all, we feel honored that people have cared so much for our band and for our art. We appreciate every listener who has allowed our music to be a part of their lives. We want to offer our deepest thanks to every individual who has supported us on this ride. It has profoundly impacted our lives.

To put your minds at ease, we assure you this is not a bitter break up. We all individually feel Copeland has run its course in our lives and it’s time for us to pursue what is next. We couldn’t end things without a proper goodbye, so we are planning a final farewell tour in the US this coming Spring, as well as one final jaunt around the world to some of our favorite countries. We are really excited about seeing you all one more time, and we hope it turns out to be the best Copeland tour ever.

It has been discussed and we are not ruling out the possibility of recording one more album sometime in the future. However, this spring tour will be our last.

From the bottom of hearts, thank you for all of your love and support."

"it's been a little over a year since our last tour and some of you out there have kind of figured out whats been going on with us. we never wanted to burden you all with a formal announcement of any kind and cause some type of commotion- we just thought it would be better to kind of drift away nice and easy… i am writing this strictly speaking for myself and i honestly don't really know how pj anthony and nash will react to me being the one to write this, but i feel like it should come from me because ultimately it was me who decided it was best to leave things where they were. to me a song is like a snapshot of a moment, real or made-up, and the band that takes that snapshot is like a camera. i was really happy and proud of the pictures that came out of our little camera, but i would have much rather put in on a shelf for me and all of us to look at with fond memories than to feel this intense need to make it take high-def panoramic mosaics when maybe it was constructed to handle polaroid film. it's as simple as that. i guess someone could examine our inter-personal relationships and weird habits and attribute them to the reason for this decision, but we were like brothers and no clash was ever too great to slow us down. i hope that time won't obscure that fact…i know it won't for me. that being said, i think the real and only reason i am writing this is for you who have been fans of armor for sleep. even though it hasn't been a secret that we are not working on an album or touring, it has felt really weird to not come out and say that the needles been lifted from the record. you have always been so amazing to us and i know through all of our fancy little internet avenues we will always be able/willing/not creeped out/ to talk about life, death, armor tabliture, the needler, whatever your little hearts desire. pj anthony and nash are all amazing people who i've witnessed first hand probably more than anyone in the world as being super talented at whatever they do and i know whatever they choose to do will be amazing. i know you'll have their backs just as i will. as for me, i have been hard at work cooking something up. i have a new camera. i never like to blab about stuff until its ready and for this reason i wasn't giving play by play updates when it was still in its complete infancy…but i will get into it more very soon. i'm really excited, and for me as someone who has been working a long time at the art of writing songs and having these weird visions about how i see a band being presented, i feel like i've put lots of pieces together from the terabytes worth of experiences i've lived through…i know some people will probably always want to hear dream to make believe or something no matter what i'm doing, which is fine, but time is an arrow and i'm not going to try and argue with that…i know i will always be myself and no matter what camera i'm behind i know you'll always recognize the hands holding it. thank you to everyone who's been supportive and listened to anything i've been a part of in any facet. i can't wait to tell you more about things to come. Check back in about a week for something new…"

FRIENDS!! We've been playing live shows and working on getting new music out to you for a while now, and in this time we've realized that while stronger and tighter than ever, Halifax is missing something.

Chris has been singing for us for over a year, and while he's loved it and been great at it, he's now decided to move back to singing strong back ups and focus on his guitar playing. Effective immediately, we are starting a search for someone completely new who can blow us (and you) away. We don't have any specific requirements - just submit a link or file to halifaxsinger@splitmediallc.com with a video that shows us you've got impressive vocal talent that just might be a perfect fit with our band.

We will soon be releasing our aptly titled "Realignment" EP during this brief in-between period. The EP will feature six songs from our upcoming full length album and should give you a hint of what's to come when this online audition process is over.
